The originals used to last about 3 years but I bought this longer lasting one to use the Toshiba battery saver feature where it doesn't fully charge the battery to extend its life; hopefully it will work OK.

I purchased a replacement battery for my Toshiba from eBay, it only lasted a couple of months before it refused to charge. But with this 7cell from Duracell, I am getting excellent results the only thing I would say is the battery is a little bulkier and heavier so if you want to be mobile than the 5 cell version is for you.
